Natural wine

For us, natural wine is not a trend, but a matter of course. Whether a wine comes to life is decided in the vineyard: in healthy soils, vital vines, and the yeasts that travel from the vineyard to the cellar. Our responsibility is to treat nature with respect and to nurture this vitality. Ultimately, it is the yeasts—and time—that make the wine.

Reduction

Letting go sets you free. Those who forgo the unnecessary can concentrate on the essentials – in the cellar as in everyday life. Precision, elegance, and structure instead of volume: We want wines that do not seem manufactured, but rather reveal their origin, their vintage, and their character unadorned. Every harvest is a new attempt – always with the ambition to become even better.

What does natural wine mean to us?

Natural wine is made from grapes grown in organically farmed vineyards and is fermented in its purest form: spontaneously, without additives, unfiltered, and with minimal sulfur.

Why do we intervene so little?

Every intervention alters the wine. The less we intervene, the more clearly the soil, site, and vintage reveal themselves in the glass.

What do natural wines taste like?

Natural wines are usually lower in alcohol, yet still feel full in the mouth. Many exhibit freshness without being acidic – light, lively, and highly drinkable.
